My name is Katie Jazwinski and I am a passionate and dedicated fitness instructor with over 20 years of experience teaching, coaching, instructing and motivating people of all ages get healthy and have a better mindset. I have taught personal fitness, strength & conditioning, and health education according to the Michigan Model for Health. I am also a mother of four very fit children, coach middle school and high school cross country, my husband and I have owned a u-pick blueberry farm in for almost 7 years and I believe in the power of movement and exercise in nature to transform both the body and mind. On our farm in the summers and winters throughout the last 7 years, we have held a fitness group for many varieties of people on the westside of Michigan. The people that have attended our fitness group have ranged from children, teens, adults, to seniors! They have also ranged from very fit to beginner level people who have never exercised. My husband and I also have put on running camps each that have included novice middle and high school aged students to future division one college athletes. As both my husband and I are teachers, coaches, camp directors and fitness enthusiasts, we have had the unique privilege and capability to nurture countless peoples’ growth and well-being. I hold certifications in group fitness, personal training, and nutrition coaching, allowing me to offer a well-rounded approach to health and wellness. I specialize in a wide variety of functional physical fitness ranging from high-intensity interval training to beginner level, strength training, body weight strength, pilates and yoga, tailoring my classes to meet the individual needs and goals of the individuals I am working with. My teaching and coaching style is energetic, motivating, and supportive, creating a positive and inclusive environment where everyone feels empowered to reach their full potential. I am committed to helping my clients achieve their fitness goals, whether that be losing weight, building muscle, improving flexibility, shedding that post-partum baby weight, recovering from an injury, training specifically for a sport or simply feeling more confident and energized. I am truly passionate about helping others live their healthiest and happiest lives, and I am honored to be a part of their fitness journey. When I was a little girl, I hated running! I realized as I got older, running made me feel great if I consistently did it! I decided to run to stay in shape for basketball. I found out I was pretty good at it! I became a high school All-American and ran for the University of Michigan track and cross country teams. I continued to improve each year and. in the end, was a four-time All-American. I had many challenges and setbacks along the way. I couldn't have done it without my devoted husband who has coached me through all the years. He helped me become a 6-time Olympic Trials qualifier all while holding a full-time job. He also helped me become the coach and trainer I am today. We have raisec our four amazing children to also appreciate fitness and how it makes them feel! I've battled through a back surgery, foot surgery through rehab and functional training. I continue to have a passion for what exercise does for both body and mind as a 45 year old woman. I enjoy the serenity and beauty of my farm to stay fit!
